Cheers To Fall!
What are the flavors of Autumn?
This month we highlight all the tastes that mark the season:
Pumpkin, Applejack, Cinnamon, Anise + More!
Apple, I’ve FALLen in Love
3 ounces of CIROC Apple Vodka 1 shot
¼ cup Apple Cider
Club Soda to top
Garnish: 2 apple slices
Barware: Highball glass
Mixology:
Fill glass to the top with crushed ice.
Pour in the CIROC Apple Vodka.
Pour in the apple cider.
Top with club soda.
Cider Jack Cocktail
2 ounces of Laird’s Applejack
1 ounce of lemon juice
Splash of grenadine
Woodchuck Amber Hard Cider
Garnish: Cinnamon stick
Barware: Highball glass
Mixology:
Combine first three ingredients in a shaker.
Strain into an ice-filled highball glass.
Top with Woodchuck Amber Hard Cider.
One Good Apple
2 ounces of Apple Infused Gin, The Botanist Islay Dry Gin
4 ounces of Seagram’s Tonic Water
Garnish: Cinnamon sticks and Star Anise
Barware: Highball glass
To create Apple-Infused Gin with The Botanist Islay Dry Gin:
Cut ¼ apple into cubes and place into a jar.
Top with Gin, put on lid.
Let set for at least 48 hours for infusion.
When ready to make the gin and tonic, strain apple cubes out of gin with cheesecloth.
Store infused gin in a new, clean jar.
Mixology:
Add apple infused gin to a glass with ice.
Top with Seagram’s Tonic Water.
Garnish with Cinnamon sticks and Star Anise.
Autumnal Sangria
2 tart apples, Pink Lady or Braeburn thinly sliced
2 Anjou pears, thinly sliced
6 tangerines, thinly sliced
2 cups unfiltered apple juice
1 ½ cups of orange Cointreau liqueur
(2) 750-ml bottles of sparkling wine, Prosecco or Cava, chilled
Garnish: apples, pears and tangerines
Barware: Champagne Flutes
Mixology:
In a large pitcher, combine sliced fruit, apple juice and orange liqueur.
Chill for 30 minutes.
Top with chilled, sparkling wine and stir well to combine.
Add garnish.
Pumpkin, Whatever Floats Your Boat
2 scoops of vanilla ice cream
2 scoops of chocolate ice cream
1 bottle (12 ounces) pumpkin beer (1 ½ cups)
Barware: (2) Old Fashioned float glasses
Serves 2
Mixology:
In each of the two glasses, place 1 scoop of vanilla + 1 scoop of chocolate ice cream.
Pour pumpkin beer over ice cream.
